Adults playing with dolls? You may think it’s weird, but it’s perfectly acceptable in Japan. That is, in Japan’s Dollfie circles…
Nonetheless, Volks manufactures and sells these dolls and accessories, and Dollfies have become rather popular.

Above is a picture of the Saber (Alter, I think) Dollfie. As you can see, the design is really, really good. Dollfies are 60cm tall, which is pretty big. In Japan, people with Dollfies usually call them their 娘(musume), or daughters. And of course, with daughters one must dress them up accordingly. There are wigs, doll clothes, shoes, and a bunch of other random accessories for Dollfies. Actually, you can use pretty much anything that’s to scale.
These things are incredibly expensive, ranging from hundreds to over a thousand USD. Would love to have one, but it’d probably end up as decor.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
アホ毛(ahoge) – lit. “foolish hair”, stands for the little lock of hair sticking out at the top of a character’s head. Seen often in anime, such as Narusegawa Naru from Love Hina.
