How to Eat Sushi

Found this very old video. Still funny, though.

You should take it seriously. Very seriously.

Some random guy sent a friend request for Youtube. Strange…

I still have Ore-Rhythm stuck in my head. This is kind of weird now.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
どういたしまして(douitashimashite) – “You’re welcome.” An actual useful phrase for once.

Oh dear. New Guinness record for Pokemon fan. This is pretty ridiculous, in a good and bad way.

Started watching Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu too. It’s pretty good, and the concept is pretty interesting (battle with summons with strength based on test scores–oh noes!), but the main character is too stupid to be likeable. Also do not like Himeji, although that’s because I tend not to like the big breasted, soft spoken girls. It just doesn’t fit, and the voice is kind of annoying.

That is all.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
化物(bakemono) – monster, creature, strange creepy tentacly raping thing, yeah.

Pants o-never mind

Unless I’m seeing wrong, a top video on Nico Nico Douga involved a black guy and…drugs? Didn’t watch it, will not watch it.
Anyway, apparently some guy in Japan found his way to Improv Everywhere and decided to start his own “Pants-Off subway ride.” Somehow the cops caught wind of it and a squad of 60 showed up at the station to find nothing.
Kind of disappointing.

Adults playing with dolls? You may think it’s weird, but it’s perfectly acceptable in Japan. That is, in Japan’s Dollfie circles…
Nonetheless, Volks manufactures and sells these dolls and accessories, and Dollfies have become rather popular.

Above is a picture of the Saber (Alter, I think) Dollfie. As you can see, the design is really, really good. Dollfies are 60cm tall, which is pretty big. In Japan, people with Dollfies usually call them their 娘(musume), or daughters. And of course, with daughters one must dress them up accordingly. There are wigs, doll clothes, shoes, and a bunch of other random accessories for Dollfies. Actually, you can use pretty much anything that’s to scale.
These things are incredibly expensive, ranging from hundreds to over a thousand USD. Would love to have one, but it’d probably end up as decor.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
アホ毛(ahoge) – lit. “foolish hair”, stands for the little lock of hair sticking out at the top of a character’s head. Seen often in anime, such as Narusegawa Naru from Love Hina.

If you guys haven’t heard of/seen the giant Gundam that was built in Tokyo (Odaiba), well here’s a picture. It got taken down, I think, despite protests. But do not fear, it will appear in Shizuoka in the summer. July, I believe.

The head can move now too.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
抱き枕(dakimakura) – hug pillow. Japan has invented pillowcases for those long pillows especially for hugging. Has a female anime character on it usually, and one side may have fewer or no clothes. Uses range from display to certain health activities. I hear they’re also good dollfie clothes.

No time tonight. Spent the whole day watching Improv Everywhere. It seems really really fun. Anyone want to try something crazy?

Shamelessly stole this pic from I honestly have nothing to say.

In other news, successfully Nico Nico Douga-brainwashed-Ginger. Yay! Time to spread the Vocaloid-ism…tomorrow.
