Love Rage

Oh, Nintendo. You evil evil bastard.
Love Plus+ has been released a couple of days ago. Of course, those DSi bundles have been all pre-ordered and will be out of stock for who knows how long. Game’s also out of stock. Heck, just merchandise is out of stock. Congratulations.
Since it’s for the DSi, it means I am unable to play it on my bulky, red, battered DS original. I felt the temptation to get a DSi. Luckily, I’m not Japanese. So I decided to just wait for the 3DS, which should be out by the end of March next year. But wait, how much will it cost? Who knows? It had better not be $300 though. Seriously.
But good job, Nintendo. Marketing Love Plus+ netted you a bunch of final sales on the DSi. The 3DS, unless it just completely falls apart, is looking forward to great sales too.
Now, when is Love Plus 3D coming?

If that was hardly intelligible, it’s because I just came back from running next to an Indian guy. Russell Peters was right. They stink.

In any case, looks like Japan is one step closer to reaching 3D waifus. Oh, but not the ones who scream at you and beat you. Just the nice ones.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
パイパン(paipan) – refers to a woman whose nether region is hairless.

Yeah, yeah, the Hayabusa rage is still going on. I suppose that’s typical. WED stays at 2. The other gatekeepers remain. Pantsu song is still hilarious.

By the way, this video is ranked 1st on NND with over 100,000 views. It has a hundred something views on Youtube:

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
イクメン(ikumen) – a play on “ikemen,” the “iku” referring to 育児(ikuji) which means childcare. So it’s basically a guy who likes nursing children.

Whoo! Yeah.

Well, it happened. 1 million views. One month. Congratulations, World’s End Dancehall. And there seem to be a bunch of covers and mixes that sprang up overnight. Great.

The end of Durarara!! approaches. This Thursday, the last episode (24) comes out. I can sense a lukewarm ending, but let’s just hope it turns out all right. With a second season. I must read the novels…
Still, it’s kind of sad. Durarara!! brought me to the Colorless. Okay, well, it’s now overrun by “newfags” and is turning into 4chan, but there are still some good things left. Also began Skype-ing with some of the “oldfags.” I HAVE FINALLY ACHIEVED CONTACT WITH A FEMININE GUY. I thought he seriously was a girl at first. That’s one thing crossed out in my To-Do list. Just need to meet Danny Choo and Sekihan/Pico now.

Obligatory Shizaya magnet pic:

I think the last episode of Angel Beats is also this Friday? Not sure, but looking at the preview, it sure sounds like it. Ah, all these epic anime are ending. Quite sad. Hoping the summer series have some nice ones as well.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
ニート(niito) – NEET. In other words, “Not in Employment, Education, or Training.” Usually hikikomori fall into this category. It’d be so nice to live as a NEET, hmm?

World’s End Dancehall strong as always. 3 more days until one month after its release. Let’s go to 1 million views! (Last time I checked, it was past 960k) One great thing about this week – ARiA is back. So awesome.

Stupid pantsu song actually did get first…

In completely random news, there’s one part of the gym I really don’t like, and that’s the locker room. It reeks, and walking in to see some random naked guy in there is not something I like to do. It’s like hot springs, only smelly, and the people have had too much McDonalds.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
俗語(zokugo) – colloquialism; slang. Basically what I try to look up. Every time I come across one in an eroge.

Good hayou! Uh, ho zao! Tsuuka, shi which ah?!

As I was walking home from the gym today, I looked ahead and saw a car waiting to come out from McDonalds onto the street. As it was, it was in the way of the sidewalk. Normally, you (well, I) would walk behind it and continue on. Despite the long half-circumference I have to take. But the car backed up and let me pass directly across the curb. Instinctively, I turned to the driver and did a smile-and-minor-bow, but then it suddenly hit me. What if he wouldn’t really understand me? What if he thought I were strange? Okay, didn’t really care about the second one. But nonetheless, I wondered whether the proper thing to do was to do the wave-hand-greeting. As it was, I was in the middle of my bow, and it probably looked like I spasmed. While smiling. A bit.

At least I don’t bow to the pizza delivery guy.

Oh wait. I did. Urgh.

Well, I’m looking forward to the possible return visit to China over Winter Break. Hopefully I’ll still remember Engrish by the time I get back.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
ROMります(ROM-rimasu) – Pronounced ロムります(romurimasu) too, I believe. Anyway, I’ve seen a lot of acronyms for the ROM part, but the one that stuck (the first one I saw and the shortest one) was “Read-Only Member.” In short, it means to lurk (in a chat or whatever). Yeah, I’m rewatching DRRR!! again.

World’s End Dancehall strong as usual. This is like…Meltdown-strong. First place is obviously cosMoP’s new song. Yay for Miku Append.
Not much else to say. JBF and the usual gatekeepers strong as usual.

Recommend me some good anime please.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
調子に乗る(choushi ni noru) – to be caught up in the moment. Literally “riding the moment.” Sounds weird in English, but it kind of makes sense, right? Right?

Cirno’s Perfect Math Class

Posted in Nico Nico Douga with tags , , , , on June 7, 2010 by kumoriha

Definitely paying a visit to Tokyo University sometime. Hopefully during my college years.
Tokyo U students dance to Cirno’s Perfect Math Class. So so awesome.

The comments were the funniest part though. “This is the future of Japan right here…” Well, it certainly better than the future of America…
This Toudai Project included the Touhou cast, of course (minus Alice, sadly), along with other favorites. Abe, Ronald McDonald, Obama (lolwtf), and I think I saw Goku too.

Reminds me of the Hokkaido dancers, only…y’know…without freezing snow. And with national level students. Yep. So going to Tokyo U.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
下らない(kudaranai) – useless, stupid. Pretty intense word. Unless you really despise something, I’d stick with baka or dame.
