I lost…

A person named “Kuzu” (who apparently says he is aptly named as “garbage”) did a cover of magnet. One man. 4 voices. You know the drill.
He beat me to it. Dang.
The general consensus is that his female voices are better than his male voices, to the point where there’s “a fairy living inside his throat” to describe his Miku voice. I think his Luka voice is much more praiseworthy though…it’s very naturally feminine.

A bunch of nice utattemitas popped up too. That Kyon/Gintoki guy covered Venus and Jesus from Arakawa Under the Bridge.
Sekihan once again shows his love for SKE with SKE Lovers. You can ignore the first part if you want…

Pokota and Hana-tan sing Hikarizakura (Cherry blossoms of light…I guess?)

Usa sings Aikotoba (Words of Love). Very cute song.

And finally, wowaka releases another song. Luka and Miku sing World’s End Dancehall. Expect this to be first in Vocaloid rankings.

Whew. Long music post.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
突然(totsuzen) – suddenly. Exactly as in Chinese.

I’ve been really wanting to try out 骸Attack!! (Mukuro Attack!!), especially after hearing Sekihan’s cover.

Crazy metal and yelling. Might be fun for once. DIE!! DIE!! DIE!!!!!! Yeah.

Caught up on reading One Piece over the weekend. It’s not the greatest manga ever, and I still don’t like the art style, but the story’s not bad. It’s still pretty crazy…

Began reading Nana too. Hachi reminds me of Kyoko. Anyway, enough of useless chatter. Need to do physics.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
信じられない(shinjirarenai) – “I can’t believe it!” Also shortened to 信じんない(shinjinnai) in slang.

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #130

Nico Nico Douga.

Apart from this week’s rankings is also…a new AkaPikoHammer production!
Sekihan and Piko sing Cendrillon:

Piko takes Miku’s part, fittingly.

se.きらら has gotten boring. I guess I’ll finish it for CG and for other vocab…

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
ほっとく(hottoku) – to leave alone; You see ほっとけ!(hottoke!) a lot, which is pretty much “Leave me alone!”

Weekly Vocaloid Ranking #125

Forgot to this this Monday, and didn’t feel like posting it up until today. But it was a very interesting list. Nicovideo.
And Youtube:

A Whole New World. Pretty good, actually.

Anyway, after I listened to Sekihan’s performance of IMITATION BLACK, I got the song stuck in my head. I love the way he pronounces it. And he changed the “Please teach me the answer” in the song to a more normal “Oh, tell me the answer” which gets an auto high five. Now if only he would fix up his Engrish in magnet.

Sekihan x Pico x Ouzoku Band

Love the little manzai-like dialogue thing.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
漫才(manzai) – a two man comedy with a straight man and a funny man. Usually Osakan.

赤飯(sekihan) sings 撲殺天使ドクロちゃん(bokusatsu tenshi dokuro chan) live at the Nico Nico Tour. Meido cosplay for lulz, and much kimoi-ness. Also, looking up the skirt for more lulz.

Shudder and laugh at the same time, I guess.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
きもい(kimoi) – the abbreviated 気持ち悪い(kimochi warui), which literally means “bad feeling.” It pretty much means “ew”, “gross”, “disgusting”, “creepy”, or stuff of the sort.
