フタリボシ (Futariboshi) Lyrics

Posted in Lyrics with tags , , , , , , , , , , on July 9, 2010 by kumoriha

This is the Tanibata song. July 7. Apparently each year, the stars Orihime and Hikouboshi meet and grant people wishes on this day. Google if you want more info. Also, I will be moving to Blogspot soon, so there will probably be one more post on this blog.

Here’s the song on Nico Nico Douga.

Cover by “Real sisters” non and emii:

English:

The stars in the sky, as if they were blessing us,
are twinkling.

I won’t be able to find the perfect answer, but
I can believe that’s okay.

At that place, looking up at the night sky,
we exchanged our oaths.
As you laughed, I laughed, and that itself was happiness.

As I fell in love on a sleepless night, I decided to see you.
The stardust connected by my fingertip begins to etch a dream.
Even though the light has no shape, it is as strong as when I think of you.
As I looked up, I found that day. Our stars will shine.

No matter how many times, how many thousand times, the words won’t come out
and will fall into silence.

No matter how many times, how many ten thousand times, my heart that secretly thinks of you
can’t be conveyed.

If that star is you, then I am the star next to it.
Your name and my name are together in those stars.

During that sleepless night, always you are the one I want to see most.
“Just a bit longer, let me be by you just a bit longer.”
The tears you spilt have become the stars in the night sky.
Across your crybaby face, a shooting star soars.

Sneaking out that sleepless night, I will soon see you.
As I pass the sky shivering from the darkness,
even though the light has no shape, it is as strong as when I think of you,
as I looked up, I found that day. Our stars will shine.

Together forever.

Nico Nico Douga.
What a week. So many old songs came back. Melt. Akahitoha. Urotandaa. Well, I burst out laughing when that one came up. Ahh. In any case, very nostalgic.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
期待(kitai) – looking forward to, waiting for something.

What the heck happened this week? It was almost COMPLETELY old songs. Wow. 懐かしい(natsukashii), you’d say. Very nostalgic. All of the gatekeepers just got destroyed. May be the result of the new Project Diva Dreamy Theater game.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
メンヘラ(menhera) – refers to a person with a mental illness. Comes from “mental health.”

Yeah, yeah, the Hayabusa rage is still going on. I suppose that’s typical. WED stays at 2. The other gatekeepers remain. Pantsu song is still hilarious.

By the way, this video is ranked 1st on NND with over 100,000 views. It has a hundred something views on Youtube:

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
イクメン(ikumen) – a play on “ikemen,” the “iku” referring to 育児(ikuji) which means childcare. So it’s basically a guy who likes nursing children.

World’s End Dancehall strong as always. 3 more days until one month after its release. Let’s go to 1 million views! (Last time I checked, it was past 960k) One great thing about this week – ARiA is back. So awesome.

Stupid pantsu song actually did get first…

In completely random news, there’s one part of the gym I really don’t like, and that’s the locker room. It reeks, and walking in to see some random naked guy in there is not something I like to do. It’s like hot springs, only smelly, and the people have had too much McDonalds.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
俗語(zokugo) – colloquialism; slang. Basically what I try to look up. Every time I come across one in an eroge.

World’s End Dancehall strong as usual. This is like…Meltdown-strong. First place is obviously cosMoP’s new song. Yay for Miku Append.
Not much else to say. JBF and the usual gatekeepers strong as usual.

Recommend me some good anime please.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
調子に乗る(choushi ni noru) – to be caught up in the moment. Literally “riding the moment.” Sounds weird in English, but it kind of makes sense, right? Right?

Nico Nico Douga.
Wow. This week.
Thanks to the Vocalogenesis Vocaloid album hitting first in Oricon rankings (WOW), a bunch of old songs came back up. Watashi no Jikan…that was the song that brought me into Vocaloid (and Melt, too, later). World’s End Dancehall remains first! Even くたばれPTA(kutabare PTA/”Fuck you, PTA”) only managed to make second. Interesting song.

Random Japanese Word of the Day:
出鱈目(detarame) – nonsense. Daily conversation in Japanese class: Dillon – Nanda sono detarame! (What’s with that nonsense?)/Me – Maa, ii ka? (Eh, whatever)
